Landscape Restoration

To support construction, there was limited removal of vegetation and trees across the Project alignment. Careful consideration was given to minimize the removal and protect trees where possible. NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and Nassau County Department of Public Works are committed to – at a minimum – replacing trees removed during construction. Landscape restoration plans were prepared for those properties where trees and other vegetation were removed or disturbed. The plans are available here:
